Welcome To Community GIS!

Southern Tier West has been given the opportunity to serve GIS to local governments via the Internet.  In 2000, the Community GIS Program began through a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission.  Selected communities created new data or gave existing data to Southern Tier west, which was put into a GIS format that can be seen in a viewer.  From this, communities are able to perform numerous operations with their data, each according to their own needs.
