USER'S GROUP
Members of the Community GIS program have formed a User's Group that meets on a quarterly schedule. The purpose of the User's Group is to share ideas, experiences, and expertise for the betterment of all communities involved. Southern Tier West staff coordinates the meetings, which are open to all interested parties. The meetings also serve as a forum for feedback on improving the system for users.

The highly active core group has instituted many improvements to the system over the past few years. These include the addition of new tools in the viewer, the implementation of the intern-sharing program, the development of training programs, among others.

The most important function of the User's Group is the collective advancement of all members. Learning through experience and sharing those experiences creates a culture where all members benefit.

If you are considering becoming a Community GIS member, we would like to invite you to the next User's Group meeting. We are convinced that after attending a session, you will be more comfortable making the investment in Community GIS.
